Mishmishmash performance

A performance by the kitchen team of de Koer!

A little taste of what’s to come: The apricot -‘mishmish’ in Arab culture – is a stone fruit that originates from Asia, but has been deeply rooted in the culture and cuisine of the Middle East and North Africa for thousands of years. There is a very well-known Arabic saying: “Fil mishmish”. This literally means “during apricot season”. As the apricot season is very short, people use this saying to indicate that something will never happen.

As part of Local Growth, the kitchen team is working on a community performance! A date and title have already been set: on 7 November, ‘Mishmishmash’ will be performed in de Koer!

ARE YOU JOINING US?

We’re looking for enthusiastic performers and people who want to help out behind the scenes (direction, script, live music, costumes, make-up, sound, visuals, lighting, etc.). Everything is on a voluntary basis. Curious to take part but feeling a bit shy? Everyone is welcome. We’re not looking for professionals, but for people with enthusiasm! We’ll be performing together (with food) on stage and making it something truly unique.

Commitment:
– Rehearsals will take place in October
– On Saturday 7 November, we’ll be performing in front of an audience
