14:00   Lieve vrienden, buren, kennissen, wandel mee in onze bijzondere parade!

SACER is een performatieve straatparade door de Brugse Poort / Rooigem, waarbij de notie van marginaliteit als een verbindend element wordt ingezet. Een groep lokale en internationaal artiesten, zowel professioneel als amateurs, zijn uitgedaagd om de architectuur van de buurt te verbinden met ‘being an outcast’. In de vroege Romeinse maatschappij, werd het woord SACER gebruikt voor de verstotenen van de samenleving. Wat is het dat ons buiten het normale plaatst? Wat betekent het om in de marge samen te zijn? En zouden we deze positie niet beter vieren?

SACER is een samenwerking, een collaboratie, een viering, een feest.

Meeting point: 14:00 bij de Koer

Dit project is het resultaat van Adriana La Selva haar ‘artist in residence’ project bij de Koer, ism Bij’ De Vieze Gasten.

SACER is a performative street parade through the Brugse Poort / Rooigem, where the notion of marginality is used as a connecting element. A group of local and international artists, both professional and amateurs, are challenged to connect the architecture of the neighbourhood with ‘being an outcast’. In the early Roman society, the word SACER was used to name the outcasts. What is it that puts us out of the ordinary? What does it mean to be together in the margin? And shouldn’t we be celebrating this position?

SACER is a cooperation, a collaboration, a celebration.
